Chanel & Ron’s Florence, Italy Destination Wedding: Villa Dianella

I think when people use the term ‘dream wedding’ – this is what they are referring to.

When Chanel and Ronald first contacted me from San Francisco asking if I photograph destination weddings, I got all excited because I love San Francisco! When I responded that even though I am based out of Philadelphia, I photograph destination weddings all over, they said,  ‘Great – we are getting married in a villa right outside of Florence, Italy” – and I think I packed my bags that day. 

Villa Dianella was the most perfect backdrop for this sweet couples wedding day. Chanel and Ronald had a very intimate ceremony surrounded by family and their closest friends right on the grounds of the villa overlooking the city of Vinci, Florence. The bride was glowing in her elegant Allure Bridals wedding dress, and every time she looked over at her groom, her face would light up just a little more. The bride and groom entered their reception, dancing to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, and then continued to dance the night away with their best friends by their side. 

Since we live on opposite coasts of the US, I only met this couple face-to-face a day before their wedding day and right away they made me feel more like a friend than a vendor.

Chanel and Ron, I cannot thank you and your lovely families enough for making me feel so welcome. Your warmth and kindness is something that I will never forget. I hope that these photos will forever bring you back to this beautiful and joyous day.
