Elegant Greek Wedding at Cescaphe The Lucy

Greek weddings are always beautiful (and a ridiculous amount of fun) but Alexza and Yanni really outdid themselves on their gorgeous wedding day. You know the couple thinks through all the little details as much as you do when even the groom has a custom hanger for his Black Tux suit.

Before heading out for their traditional Greek wedding ceremony at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the bride and groom spent the morning getting ready at The Notary Hotel. Once Raquel and Kathleen were finished with the bride’s hair and makeup, Alexza and her bridesmaids headed downstairs to Philadelphia’s City Hall to take some wedding day photos. The boys were already on their way to the church but we wanted to make sure we got photos of the bride looking like an absolute show stopper in her Martina Liana wedding dress. People on the streets were stopping the bride to tell her how incredible she looked but no one was as awe-struck as Yanni when he first saw Alexza walk through the doors at the Elkins Park Church that day.

After a beautiful ceremony, the whole bridal party of 30 people headed back down to center city Philadelphia for wedding photos. To make sure we get all 30 bridesmaids and groomsmen in the shot, we chose to do the couples wedding photos at Fairmount Park with plenty of open space and the Philadelphia skyline as our backdrop. As the sun began to set on a truly amazing day, we wrapped up our portrait session and were ready to celebrate at one of Cescaphe’s newer wedding venues, The Lucy.

The Lucy is elegant, modern, and neutral toned, making it the perfect backdrop for a wedding. You can decorate it however you’d like and really make it your own. The other perk of having your wedding at The Lucy is this Philadelphia wedding venue is conveniently located near City Hall so if you want to get the infamous Broad Street photo, you are only a few steps away!

Inside of the venue, Beautiful Blooms and Anthos Floral created a sophisticated and elegant Greek theme for the couples wedding reception. Pampas grass, olive branches, and lemon trees lined the ballroom and guests were greeted with champagne as they entered the party for a truly enchanting evening of heart warming toasts, hilarious stories, and non-stop dancing all night thanks to ΣEIZMOS Music.

Alexza and Yanni, from the moment that we arrived at the getting ready location to the beautiful and fun reception, your wedding day was a dream. Thank you for being so amazing to work with.
