Best Photography of 2016: A Look Back

If I could describe 2016 in one word it would be, busy. 

I fully dove into the wedding industry and did not stop to take a breath.

This past year was filled with amazing couples, talented industry professionals, a few travels, and even a feature by my dream wedding blog. I mostly photograph Philadelphia weddings but this year I also had the opportunity to travel to Miami and even all the way to Russia to photograph beautiful couples. Below, is a look back at some of my favorite photos that I have made this year. 

I sometimes still can’t believe that people want to share one of the most important days of their lives with me but somehow these people did, and for that I want to say thank you. 

Now looking back at it, I’d like to change my one word.
If I could describe 2016 in one word it would be, beautiful. 

Any post about the amazing memories of 2016 has to include this last photo. This photo is from the time that I just finished taking getting ready photos and was going to put my equipment in my car to go to the first look location, when I slipped on black ice, reached for the car door to grab onto something, and had the car door open right into my forehead, knocking me out and making me fall onto the ice anyway.

Needless to say, I had no idea where I was for a good minute, cried in the corner to no one except my second shooter for about 3 minutes, and then brushed myself off and went back into the house to a bridal party of 30 people and their families. After a few minutes of the whole tea and icepack situation, we were off to do the first look and I took some of my favorite photos from the year!
