Besides planning elevated events in Philadelphia, Donielle is also a certified travel agent who can plan your destination wedding. It feels like there is nothing that Donielle can’t do.
How did you get into wedding and event planning?
How long have you been planning events?
“I worked as an intern for Elegant Events Planning + Design to earn college credits. Eight years ago, I became owner of the same company!”
What types of services do you offer —
full-service planning, part-time planning, month-of coordination?
“As a full service wedding firm, we uniquely offer couples both planning and floral design services. Our planning services include full service planning, wedding coordination and destination wedding planning. All planning services can combined with our in-house floral design services offered by Elegant Events Florist.”
What’s your favorite part about working weddings in Philadelphia?
“The one of a kind venues in and around the city. Museum weddings are some of our favorite, and Philadelphia boasts the most incredible museum venues for unforgettable weddings.”
Are you looking to get into more destination weddings? Where would be your ideal destination?
“We are certified travel agents and destination wedding planners. Some of our favorite destinations for weddings include the Caribbean, Italy and Greece.”

“Elegant Events Planning + Design enjoys working with all couples and their families! We specialize in planning interfaith, multicultural, interracial, fusion and Indian weddings.”
What would be your biggest piece of advice to couples?
What about advice for planners who are just starting out?
“Get the families onboard. As an experienced wedding team who specializes in planning multicultural, interfaith, interracial and fusion weddings, we have learned that the secret to respectfully navigating any family dynamic begins with getting the families onboard. This is most successful when all persons feel heard, understood and represented.
Work with event professionals who can provide expert guidance on etiquette and traditions while honoring the couple’s distinctive requests. Have foresight of the needs of the families and effectively communicate ensuring everyone feels valued and that ultimately the couple is celebrated with love.”
