Romantic Philadelphia Wedding Photography

The Rodin Museum and Merchant’s Exchange in one day? This couple knew that they wanted their wedding day photography to be a little bit classic, a little bit modern, and all around timeless so they didn’t mess around when booking portrait session locations.

When the church doors opened and Jess walked in, everyone’s eyes were on the lovely bride. Jess’ smile was radiant as she locked eyes with her handsome groom. Jess decided to keep her hair and makeup simple and natural, and Natalie Lokchine of MJ Bridal Artistry and Happily Ever After Hair delivered on their promise to do so. Both the bride and groom couldn’t stop smiling the entire ceremony; They were just glowing and so in love.

After the ceremony, we headed straight to The Rodin Museum for the bride and groom to have some alone time during their portrait session. Jess and Stephen spent some time walking around the beautiful outdoor gardens. The Rodin is known for being ‘a hidden oasis in the city’ of Philadelphia and it was the perfect, romantic backdrop for Jess and Stephen to have a moment alone, together.

While the warmth of the Rodin Museum makes it feel classic and romantic, the cooler tones and sharp edges on the famous stairs of Merchant’s Exchange make it feel a bit more modern. I could not put my camera down when the bride walked up this staircase in her gorgeous Martina Liana wedding dress from The Bridal Garden. She was a vision.

After the couples portrait session, the bridal party joined us for some elegant and fun photos at the iconic location. Stopping by the Rodin Museum and historic Old City on the way to the reception at Arts Ballroom gave the couple all the perfect backdrops for the wedding day album.

Upon arriving to the Arts Ballroom, you could instantly see that Thistle Do Flower Co did a beautiful job adding some soft romance to the grand ballroom. Blush pink and ivory flowers blended beautifully with the high ceilings and marble fireplace of the downtown wedding venue. In a truly timeless way, Jess and Stephen’s romantic Philadelphia wedding was the perfect mix of regal elegance and light hearted fun.
