When I found out that Sasha and Barrett live in Washington DC, and told them that I think a shoot by the DC monuments would be ‘monumental,’ I was pretty sure they’d stop replying to my emails; but they replied, and the shoot turned out to be as incredible as I had envisioned.
Sasha and Barrett wanted to do two looks for their shoot so we started the day at the Jefferson Memorial and then did a more casual look at a coffee shop in Old City Alexandria. With the two different looks, we really got to do a variety of photographs. We took photos that were editorial and a little sexy, and then also got to take photos that were more lifestyle and playful.
The whole day was filled with amazing light, beautiful locations, and non stop laughter. We even ran into a famous chicken. Yes, you read that right. Sammi is a chicken that is traveling the country with her owner, Dave, and as soon as we saw her, we knew we had to take some photos together.
Sasha and Barrett, I cannot thank you enough for your incredible hospitality. I had the best time exploring Washington DC and cannot wait for your wedding day! The engagement shoot was so much fun and I just know the wedding day is going to be even more amazing!
