Racquet Club of Philadelphia Wedding Photography

A historic venue, a classic silhouette wedding dress, and delicate florals make a perfect recipe for timeless wedding photos will never go out of style.

From Aley and Shadi’s rehearsal dinner at The Notary hotel to their big day at The Racquet Club, Jenna Tracy Events designed the weekend to be sophisticated and classic with just the right amount of personal touches. At the welcome dinner, the groom-to-be came up to his fiancé and was so excited when he asked, “Can you believe the dog on the napkins looks exactly like Rosy?” “It IS Rosy!” she replied. To add an intimate touch to the wedding day decor, Aley surprised Shadi with custom napkins and throw pillows of the couples dog Rosy, and a bar from White Glove Rentals with a simple, custom crest designed by Casa Papel.

On the morning of their wedding, the bride got ready with the help of Los Angeles makeup artist, Emily Dimant and Philadelphia’s own, Kaitlin Newman. Aley paired her Elizabeth Lee column silhouette wedding dress from Laura and Leigh Bridal with simple pearls and a dramatic, detachable overskirt – because, balance. Shadi looked equally as stylish in his Indochino suit when meeting his bride for their first look. The old world charm of Philadelphia’s Old City was the perfect backdrop for the couples iconic portrait session.

When they wrapped up the portrait session with their bridal party, the couple headed over to The Racquet Club to have their official wedding ceremony. The Racquet Club has a distinguished, timeless feel to it. From the tennis courts upstairs to the multicolored rooms on the first floor, there is so much variety for stunning backdrops all in one place. The bride and groom exchanged vows in front of the historic venue’s grand staircase and took advantage of the variety of backdrops for their portrait session.

Reception table settings were minimalistic, simple, and clean with bundles of fresh, white baby’s-breath flowers lining each table. Following a refined, sit down dinner catered by Jeffrey A Miller, guests had the option of lounging in the cocktail room, dancing the night away in the main hall, or getting a caricature by Caricatures by Courtney.

To end the evening, the couple had custom cookies with the couples monogram on them and a traditional, all white wedding cake, with a personal twist of course. The back of the cake had the cutest mini fondant puppy peeking out to tie the whole weekend together.

Aley and Shadi, thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer. It was a weekend that I truly didn’t want to end! I had so much fun celebrating with you two and hope that these photographs will be something you can pass down for generations.
